Who we are

LIC Calculators operates https://liccalculators.co.in, an independent educational website providing life insurance calculators for the Indian market. We are not affiliated with the Life Insurance Corporation of India. You can reach us at hello@liccalculators.co.in.

Calculator inputs never leave your browser

This is the important part. Every calculation on this site — premium, maturity, surrender value, annuity — runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. Your age, sum assured, policy term, premium and every other input are processed locally and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We do not store them, we cannot see them, and there is no server-side calculation to send them to. The entire site is static files.

What we do not collect

• Names, email addresses or phone numbers — there is no contact form and no sign-up
• Policy numbers or any policy details
• Financial information of any kind
• User accounts, because there are none

If you email us, we hold that correspondence in order to reply to it, and we ask you not to include personal or policy identifiers.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Not for advertising, not for analytics, not for preferences. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Advertising

The site does not currently carry any advertising, and no ad network runs on it. We intend to fund it through advertising in future. If and when that happens we will update this page before any ad network is enabled, setting out exactly what is placed in your browser, by whom, and how to opt out — and we will show a consent notice to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, as the law there requires.

Analytics

We do not currently run analytics of any kind. If we add them, we will use a privacy-respecting provider configured without cross-site tracking and without any attempt to identify individual visitors, and we will say so here.

Third-party requests

One thing does leave your browser: the site loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, atfonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. That request necessarily discloses your IP address and browser to Google, as any request to any server does. Google states that it does not set cookies for Google Fonts and does not use the data for advertising profiling. Nothing else on the page is fetched from a third party.

Local storage

We do not currently store anything in your browser's local storage. If we add a convenience such as remembering a form value, that data would stay on your device, be readable only by this site, and be clearable through your browser settings at any time.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. These are retained for a short period and are not used to build profiles of visitors.

Children

This site is intended for adults making decisions about insurance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and under the GDPR where it applies to you, you have rights of access, correction, erasure and objection in relation to personal data held about you. Because we hold almost no personal data — essentially only email correspondence you initiate — there is usually nothing to disclose or erase. Write to hello@liccalculators.co.in and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the page itself.
