Reporting an error in a calculation
This is the most useful thing you can send us. If a figure here disagrees with an LIC premium notice, bonus statement, benefit illustration or surrender quotation, please include:
- The plan name and plan number
- Age at entry, policy term and premium paying term
- Sum assured
- The figure LIC gave and the figure this site gave
With those five things we can reproduce the case exactly. Feel free to redact your name, policy number and any other personal details — we do not need them, and we would rather you did not send them.
Methodology questions
If you want to know why a plan prices the way it does, ask. The editorial and methodology policy covers the general approach, and each plan page shows its own calibration point and discount rate, but we are happy to go further into the detail.
What we cannot help with
We are not LIC and have no access to any LIC system. We cannot:
- Look up, change or cancel a policy
- Chase a claim, a surrender payment or a maturity cheque
- Tell you your policy status, bonus statement or loan balance
- Recommend a specific policy for your circumstances
